My name is Luis Escobar. I am a native of the Central Coast living in Cool California. I am 62 years old, married, father of three, grandfather of 2.  I am an avid distance runner. Eight time finisher of the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run, eleven time finisher of the HURT 100 Mile Trail Race and six time finisher of the Death Valley to Mount Whitney, Badwater 135 Mile Endurance Run.

Event Coordinator / Race Director

Spartan Race Contracted Race Director, Spartan Trail Since 2018, I have served as contracted race director / consultant. I am responsible for approximately ten trail running events a year. These race vary in location, size and distance. Typical Spartan Trail Race distances are 10km, 21km, 50km. We see between 200 – 800 participants per event.

Why me?
My interest in joining the Ride and Tie Association Board of Directors is twofold: I bring valuable experience as a professional Event Director, and I am eager to learn and grow through this opportunity.
