Many of you on the east coast have seen me out running with my 12 year old son, Matthew. His interest in the sport is what encourages me to push myself and stay involved with Ride and Tie. I am particularly interested in seeing all the youth continue to grow in our sport .

I first heard about ride and tie as a junior endurance rider in the Midwest, but did not have an opportunity to try it out until moving to Tennessee and meeting a client that encouraged me to start participating.  I have been an active member of Ride and Tie since 2020 when I completed my first race with my son.

I have been a full-time farrier for 10 years and run my own boarding and training barn in Cleveland, TN. I always enjoy telling all of my clients about this great sport. I would like to use that same enthusiasm as a Board member to ensure the sport continues to grow for my son’s generation and beyond.
